Job Description
As a Cloud Administrator within the Information Technology Department, you will play a pivotal role in Laura's success by aligning our technology infrastructure with business objectives, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and staying ahead of industry trends. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud-based systems on platforms such as Azure and AWS while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
How will you support the team?
- Provide comprehensive support for cloud-based systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across various operating environments.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of cloud architectures, optimizing performance and scalability.
- Deploy and configure cloud resources and services, including user access management and permissions.
- Maintain network connectivity and performance across cloud-based workloads.
- Manage cloud servers, associated hardware, and services, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
- Assist in the implementation and management of on-prem systems along with the Infrastructure Team.
- Develop and enforce policies for efficient and secure utilization of cloud resources.
- Implement and oversee disaster recovery and backup solutions in the cloud environment.
- Evaluate and recommend security enhancements and system upgrades to mitigate risks.
- Conduct thorough testing of cloud deployments to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation to support cloud systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently, leveraging advanced problem-solving skills.
- Recognize and escalate advanced technical issues to appropriate support channels and stakeholders.
- Provide prompt and courteous responses to support inquiries via calls and emails, managing work/call flow effectively to address assigned tickets.
Qualifications
The people who thrive with us have:
- 2+ years of experience in IT Network/System Administration, with a focus on cloud technologies
- A proficiency in Microservice architectures, TCP/IP networking, Windows and Linux-based servers, Active Directory, PowerShell, and cloud email systems
- A familiarity with web services, MS SQL Server, and cloud-based storage solutions
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi
- A strong understanding of backup and disaster recovery methodologies in cloud environments
- A familiarity with network security principles and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills in French and English (written and spoken, to properly communicate with all internal and external partners)
- As a bonus, a certification in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
