Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for leading the development of the provincial Capital Plan, which addresses the provincial infrastructure needs of Alberta’s population that support key social programs and services and economic development.

This link will assist you with understanding competencies:As the Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for the evaluation, installation and support of complex, custom designed systems, microprocessor hardware and software, and development and /or modification of small to medium embedded applications. You will assist non-technical users with hardware and applications, analyze, and resolve technical problems, and upgrade server hardware and software.
This position is responsible for various areas throughout the Edmonton Law Courts building, including courtrooms, holding cells, and is integral to building-wide security operations. The contribution of this position impacts critical Government operations for the Ministry of Justice, Provincially and Federally appointed Justices, and Sheriff operations, as well as consultants and contractors. Consequently, immediate response and issue resolution is expected and required to meet our base building requirements to our clients and public in the building. Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
Required:
o Servers, computers and workstations, network topologies, protocols, operating systems.
o Software products supported, vendors and the associated technology (e.g. TCP/IP, Crestron, Nware).
o The interconnection and interaction of various systems within the infrastructure.

This position is a temporary (up to 24 months), full-time role with the standard weekly work hours of 40.00, Monday to Friday (7:30 am – 4:00 pm).
