Job description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and versatile Training & Content Developer to join our team. This unique role combines instructional design principles and web development expertise to create engaging and effective online learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, a creative mindset, and a strong technical background to design, develop, and maintain interactive and user-friendly digital learning platforms.
Role & Responsibilities:
Instructional Design:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs, objectives, and content to design effective and engaging online courses, modules, and training materials.
- Apply instructional design methodologies to create learner-centric content, incorporating multimedia elements, interactivity, and assessments to enhance comprehension and retention.
- Develop clear learning objectives, outlines, storyboards, and scripts for online courses and modules.
- Ensure alignment of instructional design strategies with the organization's learning goals and industry best practices.
- Creating static material such as spec sheets, presentation decks and comparison charts.
- Act as the design consultant for project team members to ensure all learning experiences conform to the proper branding design guidelines and learning concepts.
Graphic Design:
- Design and maintain materials such as specification sheets, comparison charts, and information/promotional sheets using InDesign.
- Photoshop product images and lifestyle images.
- Create and maintain WordPress websites.
- Update and maintain our sales tools websites.
- Work with subject matter experts and identify the target audience’s training needs.
- Create and maintain engaging learning course content that enhances retention and knowledge transfer.
- Maintain project documentation and course folders.
Qualification:
- Bilingual in French and English is strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in instructional design, e-learning development, and web design/development.
- Proficiency in front-end web technologies such as HTML,Wordpress.
- Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience with multimedia production tools for audio, video, and graphics editing (e.g., Adobe Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier, After Effects)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Portfolio showcasing previous instructional design and web development projects is highly desirable.
- Bachelors Degree or Certification in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
