People are at the heart of what Nature's Fare Markets does and with this in mind, you will advise on all things HR to our Executive Team, HR Team and directly with Store Leadership Teams with your extensive knowledge. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for mentoring and engaging our HR and Executive teams in the areas of best practices, SOPs and training as well as ensuring the effective collaboration between groups. As a part of our corporate leadership team, you will live and model our core values while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
The Head of Human Resources is responsible for developing and driving a strategic approach to addressing Nature’s Fare’s priority of being an employee centric organization. This role provides critical insight to the rest of Nature’s Fare’s executive team on topics like culture, employee engagement, compliance, employment legislation, training, and recruiting. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Strategic HR Leadership: - Providing strategic guidance and support to the senior leadership team on human resources matters, aligning HR initiatives with Nature's Fare Market's overall goals and objectives.
- Developing and executing HR strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Driving organizational development initiatives to enhance team member engagement, performance, and overall effectiveness.
Team Leadership and Development: - Leading and mentoring a team of Human Resources professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting growth, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services.
- Collaborating with team members to set performance objectives and provide ongoing coaching and support.
Employee Relations and Engagement: - Serving as a trusted advisor to executives, managers, and team members, providing guidance and support on team member relations matters.
- Overseeing the implementation of team member engagement strategies and initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
- Leading or assisting in investigations and the resolution of complex team member relations issues.
Talent Acquisition and Management: - Partnering with other Pattison Food Group banners to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Implementing talent management strategies, including succession planning, performance management, and leadership development programs.
HR Policy Development and Compliance: - Developing, reviewing, and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, best practices, while ensuring alignment with Pattison Food Group.
- Staying abreast of changes in HR laws and regulations and provide guidance to the senior leadership team and HR team members.
- Ensuring that HR practices and procedures are consistently applied across the organization.
- Compiling and analyzing HR metrics.
YOU HAVE: - A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations.
- A proven track record in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives and leading a team of HR professionals.
- HR certification (e.g., CPHR) is preferred.
