Regular part time (17.5 hours/week)

Grid 13 ($29.96- $31.24/hour)

Opportunity

Pacific Community Resources Society requires a Child and Youth Care Worker (CYCW) for the Caregivers Support Program. The CYCW will demonstrate a sound knowledge of child development, behaviors related to attachment ruptures and the outcomes of developmental trauma on children and youth. The Caregivers Support program is in partnership with PCRS and the Ministry of Child and Family Development (MCFD). The successful applicant will possess a valid class 5 driver's license and be confident providing one to one support to youth in care or children living with extended family members. This position requires a class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle. Additionally, a sound understanding of Family Systems, children’s ‘rights and an ability to collaborate with other professionals in the community.

As part of the Family Support programs, the applicant will have strong skills in listening and communicating, recreational program planning and an ease at relationship building.
