STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING
The Strategic Communications & Marketing Office (SCM) plays a significant role in supporting the university's strategic vision, direction, and mission. It is a bi-campus team responsible for advancing and elevating UNB's reputation through insight-focused and performance-driven brand leadership, communications, marketing, public relations, creative services, media relations and issues management.

Salary Range: $50,267 - $65,346 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Integrated Marcom Manager, the Integrated MarCom Specialist is an integral part of the Strategic Communications & Marketing Team and is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives led by this team.
- Manage and oversee the development, implementation and optimization of integrated communication & marketing plans in support of units and faculties.
- Act as the point-person for an integrated team that includes communications, digital, creative and production.
- Develop critical paths, define audiences, key messages, success indicators, tactics and measurement strategies.
- Primary contact with unit and faculty stakeholders to collect input and feedback.
- Create and implement communications and marketing tactics for units, faculties and institutional priorities.
- Measure the effectiveness of various communications and marketing tactics and evaluate projects to determine what went well and identify areas of improvement.
- Provide recommendations to clients regarding their allotted budget.
- Assist the Integrated Marketing Manager in the development, communication and ongoing maintenance of customer service standards and a prioritization process for request management.
- Support the SCM management team and the Director of Marketing and Director of Communications on strategic institutional projects including major marketing campaigns, awareness building initiatives and internal communications strategies.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or a relevant combination of education and work experience.
- 3-5 years experience developing, implementing and measuring marketing and communications strategies and/or campaigns.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Strengths
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively on cross-functional and virtual teams.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects effectively and work independently.
- Understanding of and demonstrated experience in marketing tactics, execution, measurement, research and brand management.
- Knowledge of post-secondary systems structures is an asset.
- Occasionally attend events and meetings on evenings and weekends.
