Job description


We are currently seeking a Tool and Fixture Designer to join our Saskatoon Manufacturing Plant. Working with a team of Designers, Fabricators, and Tool and Die Makers this position designs and constructs a variety of tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, machines, and equipment.

In your roll you will:
- Design tools, dies, fixtures and gauges.
- Perform design reviews and follow-up fixturing concerns through to production.
- Set up and make tool tryouts, diagnose, and remedy operations, material, or dimensional problems.
- Make correct decisions as to fits, finishes, machining, and assembly sequences in order to produce workable units and maintain close tolerances.  

The Qualified Candidate will have:
- Grade 12 or GED Equivalency.
- An understanding of geometric tolerance (GD&T).
- Completed a formal post-secondary training related to machining.  
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job which are: Light physical effort equivalent to occasionally handling or moving light weight to lay out work, fit and assemble parts, and to tear down and re-assemble tools.
