The Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is seeking to add Emergency Physicians and Locums to its current staff for the remainder of 2024. Emergency Medicine Role Description
Emergency Medicine responsibilities include:
1. Promote the delivery of Emergency care through the use of evidence-based resources such as research, Emergency Practice Standards, and Best Practice Guidelines 2. Promote collaborative relationships with other staff, physicians, and volunteers 3. Recommend strategies that promote excellence and innovation in Emergency practice and patient care 4. Highly developed clinical reasoning skills to care for patients with acute and often undifferentiated medical problems, frequently before complete clinical or diagnostic information is available

CGMH is an acute care hospital providing emergency care, diagnostic services including lab, imaging and cardiorespiratory therapy, as well as two inpatient units (medicine and surgery). In addition, CGMH also provides care in specialty areas including obstetrics, orthopaedics, intensive care and surgery. The Hospital also provides outpatient care including dialysis and a wide range of clinics including mental health and rehabilitation services.
