Job description
Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing of automated equipment and machinery, is in search of a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join their team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in overseeing all operational activities to drive efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction to new heights.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the facility, including production, inventory management, quality control, and logistics, to meet company goals and objectives.
- Implement and optimize operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and maximize output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products and services.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and mentor a team of operational staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements to drive innovation and maintain compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into ERP system enhancements and configurations.
- Oversee the scheduling of orders from intake to shipment, ensuring timely production and delivery of products.
- Develop and maintain production schedules, taking into account factors such as material availability, production capacity, engineering capacity, and customer requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels for uninterrupted operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve ERP system processes to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in ERP systems and manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations management within the automation machinery industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Prior experience working with ERP systems and other operational software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
