Position Summary:
Ubiquitous data and advances in methods to harness information from large data streams and repositories drive innovation in almost every aspect of the business. Because of the recentness and rapidity of these advances, many executives lack an understanding of the potential and limitations of these technologies. This course aims to fill that gap by providing a broad understanding of advances in data management and analysis and an awareness of the recent impacts these technologies and innovations have had on business models, methods, and practices. Some of the topics covered in this course include Data Management, Business Analytic Methods and Applications, and Machine Learning & AI.
Qualifications – Required: Doctoral Degree (or near completion)
Qualifications – Discipline: OM/IE/Math or a related field.
Qualifications - Areas of Specialization: Industry experience in Data Analytics or research experience in applying big data is preferred. Experience teaching Business Analytics at the Graduate level is also preferred.
Salary: $9,025.89

This appointment is in accordance with the Contract Teaching Faculty and Part-time Librarians Collective Agreement , for which the Wilfrid Laurier Faculty Association (WLUFA) is the exclusive bargaining agent.
