Job description

Hays is currently working with a reputable and established general contractor in Calgary, who are looking for a  Project Director to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations of all relevant commercial and multifamily builds. Your expertise in project management, construction processes, and effective communication will be crucial in delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of commercial and multi-family construction projects, from planning to completion
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and other team members
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project status to senior management

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing commercial and/or multi-family construction projects with a general contractor
• Education in construction management, engineering, or a related field
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
