Job Description
As the Creative Copy Manager, you will contribute to Laura’s success by leading a team of six talented copywriters and be entrusted with bringing the Laura & Melanie Lyne brands to life through the art of storytelling. Your mandate is to give the brands a consistent voice across various communication channels, including editorial content, emails, digital ads, website content, product descriptions, in-store signage, and social media posts. Your expertise in crafting compelling narratives and your role as the brand voice guardian will play a crucial role in elevating the brand's presence and driving customer engagement.
How will you support the team?
- Lead a team of six copywriters, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Assign projects, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality copy that aligns with brand guidelines and objectives.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for growth and development.
- Develop and execute a cohesive brand storytelling strategy that effectively communicates the essence and values of the Laura & Melanie Lyne brands.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Graphic Designers, Designers, and other cross-functional teams to understand brand positioning and translate it into engaging copy across multiple platforms.
- Craft compelling narratives that resonate with the target audience, effectively conveying brand messaging and driving emotional connections.
- Establish and maintain a consistent voice and tone for the Laura & Melanie Lyne brands across all communication channels.
- Develop comprehensive brand style guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand experience and facilitate effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and edit copy to ensure it aligns with brand guidelines, maintaining a high standard of quality and coherency.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of various types of content, including editorial pieces, emails, digital ads, website content, in-store signage, and social media posts.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging concepts and campaigns that enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, consumer insights, and emerging platforms to continuously optimize copy and storytelling strategies.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of exceptional quality.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including Marketing Managers, Graphic Designers, Designers, and other team members, to gather requirements and align copy with broader marketing initiatives.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and editing to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in copywriting, content creation, or a similar role, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a creative team.
- Excellent storytelling abilities, with a keen understanding of how to engage audiences through compelling narratives.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a meticulous attention to detail
- Deep knowledge of brand development and the ability to translate brand positioning into effective copy.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and channels, including social media, email marketing, and website content management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
