JOB OVERVIEW
The Gelato Maker produces delicious gelato according to Eataly’ authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Head Pastry Chef.
· Produces gelato according to the daily production schedule
· Follows recipes and production protocols explicitly, carefully weighing and measuring all ingredients as specified to the gram
· Ensures product meets quality standards established by the Head Pastry Chef and Executive Chef
· Maintains a sanitary workstation in compliance with Department of Health standards
· Performs other duties as required or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekends
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
· Ability to operate commercial pastry equipment
