Job description
IT Service Delivery Manager (ITSDM) is responsible for overseeing the delivery of IT services to GFL Operations. The ITSDM will ensure that IT service delivery meets agreed-upon service levels and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with a team of IT professionals, coordinating with other departments, and continually improving processes to enhance overall IT service delivery. The ITSDM will report to the IT Service Delivery Director
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with business leaders.
- Consult with business leaders to identify strategic technology needs, offer guidance based on industry trends and support business objectives of service line or region.
- Enhance communication between operational groups and IT.
- Build credibility and trust between operational groups and IT.
- Regularly interact with the business to understand requirements for technology and to support and recommend associated business process improvements.
- Act as liaison between the business and IT to communicate needs, discuss critical success factors.
- Facilitate effective cooperation between subject matter experts from the business, IT staff and vendors as appropriate.
- Assist with prioritization of activities within and across operational groups.
- Translate business vision to enable shared understanding and rapid execution by business and IT personnel.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and take accountability for service delivery.
- Monitor progress of IT projects and changes associated to business in order to ensure successful implementation and continued development of credibility of IT areas.
- Act as a single point of contact for requests.
- Conduct needs and impact analysis on business requests to identify opportunities to link programs, processes, and systems throughout the organization to achieve optimal efficiency.
- Collaborate with other IT Business Partners to develop strategies to align business groups where appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) is a plus.
- Proven experience (10 years) in IT service delivery management or a related role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Understanding of IT service management principles, processes, and frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and software applications.
