Pay Grade The annual salary range is $68,385 - $109,584 (at 100% appointment) and is based on qualifications, experience, and the placement criteria of Article 14 of the NICFA Collective agreement
Position Summary Applications are invited from qualified individuals to instruct in the Health Care Assistant Certificate program at the North Island College Comox Valley NIC at St. Joe’s campus

This instructional assignment, up to 95%, involves teaching in one or more of the following practice courses to a Health Care Assistant Partnership Pathway cohort. Practicum placements will take place in a variety of practice settings and may require travel. Applicants need to have access to reliable transportation

HCA 140: Practice Experience 1

HCA 145: Practice Experience I2

HCA 150: Practice Experience 3

The successful candidate will implement creative strategies in the preparation and delivery of practice activities; use initiative in providing documentation and follow-up with regard to student concerns and problem resolution; and, bring facilitation skills to management of conflict. The schedule for this assignment will be flexible to meet the needs of the program

The teaching faculty of North Island College are responsible for implementing the College’s vision, goals, and objectives as they relate to teaching and learning. To carry out their teaching assignments, faculty use organizational skills, inter-personal skills, and their knowledge of subject matter, pedagogy, and curricular design. In addition, they have a responsibility to serve as role models for students and colleagues
