**Amended: Effective, January 1st, 2024 the correct salary range for this position will be $1,628.82 to $2,104.14 per week in compliance with OPSEU collective agreement provisions.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled technical professional to join our high-performance team. You will have the opportunity to work with leading technologies on interesting and diverse range of projects. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, we support various solutions vital to public health, including Immunizations, Case Contact and Outbreak Management relating to Diseases of Public Health Significance, Inspections, Safe Drinking Water and many more.

Note: Flexible work arrangements including telework (remote work) and compressed work week may be considered.

What can I expect to do in this role?

As a Project Business Analyst, you will:

• provide technical guidance to project teams to design, develop, implement, enhance and maintain systems to support the strategic and operational objectives of multiple client program areas
• develop details of business analysis activity for consolidation into an overall project plan
• conduct and advise on business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling
• provide systems consulting expertise in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of systems that support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives of client program areas

How do I qualify?

Business Analysis Knowledge

You have knowledge of business analysis techniques and tools, business process modeling, and re-engineering to:
• assess the business requirements of clients
• gather information on programs, services and business objectives
• evaluate and advise on feasibility of various options, priorities, benefits and approaches
• assess impact on service delivery resources, business and cost savings

Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Evaluation Skills

• you can provide leadership in business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, and use case surveys
• you can advise on business analysis within all phases of project life cycle, including initial requirements, evaluation of alternative solutions, and gap analysis
• you can identify risks/issues and recommend options for resolution
• you can facilitate cooperative approach to projects deliverables

IT Knowledge and Experience

You have knowledge of:
• life cycle methodologies for systems/software development for business applications, and systems specifications design software design, development and integration
• database concepts; user interface design principles
• change and risk management
• quality assurance, test planning and execution
• disaster/recovery planning, and business continuity planning

Communication, Consultation, and Interpersonal Skills

• you can lead and facilitate the consulting and discussion process for projects
• you can prepare business cases, final reports and recommendations
• you can liaise between clients and project teams throughout project development
• you can discuss changes to requirements with clients/affected groups, and ensure compliance and secure cooperation for a course of action

Project Management Knowledge and Skills

• you can develop business cases and project plans for resources and costing
• you have demonstrated experience scheduling and monitoring deliverables
• you can lead I&IT projects, prioritize issues, and evaluate work quality, processes, progress and deliverables
