Key Account Manager – 2 Positions
adidas– Woodbridge, Canada
PURPOSE
- Drive the activation of the adidas brand strategy with a leading account(s) in the Canadian Sporting Goods marketplace (Amazon or Footlocker being the potential focus accounts for these two roles)
- Drive profitable and sustainable growth for the adidas brand
Key Accountabilities- Ensure our biggest product and marketing stories are brought to life within the accounts’ POS (stores and online)
- Ensure sales and margin targets are met
- Provide the highest standard of customer service and professionalism to our customer
- In collaboration with Marketing, develop a seasonal account marketing plan that activates our key brand stories to life through bricks and mortar retail & online channels.
- Work closely with the product marketing teams to ensure the right assortment is developed for and supported by the Key Account
- Develop, maintain, and use the Key Account Excellence tools for your account (Strategic Account Plan, Account Fact Book, Seasonal Account Plan)
- Work with Sales Director to develop plans with 2-3 year outlook, to be built alongside both account buying teams and internal GTM/Marketing teams.
- Closely monitor account sell through data and provide weekly update to internal staff accordingly.
- Pro-actively manage our inventory levels. Set clear path for future growth by fueling inventory that is selling & fixing issues quickly.
- Work closely with Account Operations & supply chain departments to maximize sales and sell through by delivering orders on time and full.
- Ensure order deadlines are adhered to and all orders are thoroughly reviewed before handing off to customer service.
- Follow internal sales procedures for adidas to ensure full compliance with the Group Commercial Policy and published guidelines/procedures.
- Collaboratively and proactively manage account open order book. Navigating product delays, drops, returns etc.
- Monthly updating of latest sales and margin estimate including brand position / exposure with respect to open orders, potential cancellations, returns and markdown allowances.
- Stay within assigned budget for any personal overheads including Travel and Expenses.
- Other duties as assigned by the Sales Director.
Knowledge Skills And Abilities- Excellent Sporting Goods industry - customer and market - understanding
- Strong product knowledge – adidas & competition
- Strong interpersonal / influencing skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Negotiation Skills – ability to leverage and find value to create mutually beneficial agreements
- Willingness & passion to embrace change
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Comfortable & confident in dealing with all levels within an account - from President to Buyers and Analysts
- Strategic thinking - ability to develop and consider wide variety of options before making strategic decisions.
Qualifications- Industry experience in Sales or Product, preferably both
- Experience working with Amazon or Footlocker preferred
