The Yardman/Driver position is responsible for supporting walk-in customers with rental returns, performing deliveries and pick-ups of all types of construction equipment and performing check-ins of equipment as well as minor repairs of tools and equipment.

This position is considered to be an integral part of the Company’s front line of contact with our customers. Your duties are split between making deliveries and pick-ups of tools and equipment from various job sites within the GVRD to working within our Burnaby facility dealing with customers who are dropping off equipment and performing equipment check-ins and minor repairs.

The role also requires strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management skills.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• Minimum Class 5 Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement required
• High School diploma is required, Post Secondary or Trade School is preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may possess:

• Previous rental industry experience and/or equipment maintenance skills
• Strong customer service skills
• A strong attention to details & organizational skills
• You are comfortable working with tools

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching and/or lifting up to 80 pounds.

A Clean Driver's abstract with a minimum Air Brake endorsement is a requirement as you would be required to drive a company vehicle.

You may have related job experience in the following positions;

Account Manager, Rental Sales, Parts Sales, Service Manager, Customer Service Representative, Equipment or Tools Manager, Repair Technician, Service Technician

The compensation for this position ranges from $26-$30/hour based on qualifications and past experience.
