• Develops and maintains deep understanding of IGT products and the complexities of product integration requirements to effectively maintain quality standards
• Develops and maintains sound working knowledge of IGT quality standards and processes and contributes to their on-going evolution and improvement
• Develops, maintains, and executes test plans, test cases, automated scripts and programs for functional, system, performance/integration and regression testing and release processes
• Plans, configures, and maintains appropriate test environments, including hardware components, cabling, and network connectivity
• Maintains documentation of test results, conducts analysis, recommends corrective action and supports debugging and modification of software
• Represents QA function, actively participates in project meetings, and effectively collaborates to support prompt resolution of issues and mitigation of project risks
• Contributes to the compilation, analysis and dissemination of QA metrics and status reports.
• Participates in and provides coaching, mentoring, training and/or guidance to enhance the skills of other team members
• Seeks opportunities for improvement by identifying areas and methods to improve testing efficiency, expanding coverage and increasing product reliability
• Handles all testing activities independently, proactively seeks guidance if needed
• Performs other related duties, within the context of the role
Education:
• Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or college diploma, in a relevant discipline.
• Relevant education with exposure to electrical/electronic engineering and/or network engineering technology is of particular interest.
Experience:
• 5+ years' experience in a software testing environment.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle.
• Experience with developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or C#
• Experience preparing and executing detailed QA plans, documenting use cases and criteria
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence or Microsoft Azure for test management.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and effectively interact with stakeholders and clients.
• Experience with network protocols or network support/engineering is an asset.
• Experience in set-up and configuration of electronic/computer hardware is an asset.
