Term: 2 Years

 

The Educational Resources Coordinator (ERC) will work within the Science Outreach team to ensure that the engagement opportunities and educational resources we provide are current and of the highest standard. The incumbent will use their strong skills in instructional design to develop materials aligned with best practices in education and outreach, to strengthen the relationship between the Faculty of Science and the community. In collaboration with the Manager, Science Outreach and the Science Museum Curator, the ERC will liaise with researchers, teachers and special interest groups to best represent scientific research and discoveries at the University of Waterloo, creating outreach materials relevant and accessible to the intended audience. The ERC will assist in training our students and staff in outreach activity facilitation.

 

The Educational Resources Coordinator provides critical connections between several units internal to the Faculty of Science including Outreach, Communications, Advancement, as well as the departments and professional schools, coordinating multiple efforts between these partners to provide quality scientific engagement with the wider community.
