Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Yard Operator on a temporary basis of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, Saskatchewan at our Lumber Distribution Centre.

Do you have experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or lumber yard? Are you safety-minded and know how to operate forklifts or other equipment? Our Lumber Distribution Facility has the perfect opportunity for you!

What you’ll do:

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the facility.
• Operate forklifts to assist in the shipping and receiving of lumber and building products.
• Perform housekeeping in buildings and outdoor storage area and provide light repair/maintenance when required.

Who you’ll work with :

The Team: You will work closely with rest of the Lumber Distribution Facility team, including the Lumber Distribution Supervisor, who you will report to. This team strives to cultivate a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our Home and Building Solutions department and collaborate across the organization such as with those located at our other Lumber Distribution Facility.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:

• Have a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Have a Grade 12 Diploma.
• Have excellent communication and people skills, mechanical aptitude of maintenance and repair, knowledge of lumber and building products, and experience working with power tools.
• Mobile equipment certifications (preference for a valid forklift certificate), first aid training.
