Job description

Our client prides themselves on being a leader in plastic injection moulding and they are looking for an experienced and self-directed Tool and Die Maker to complement their team in Calgary. This organization emphasizes integrity, accountability, and collaboration and they are looking for a skilled professional that mirrors these values!

Responsibilities:

• Operation, troubleshoot, repair and setup die tooling equipment.
• Program and set up machines.
• Inspect finished products for defects and quality and report as required.
• Follow safety specifications and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

• 2 + years of experience with machine tools and equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines).
• Experience with EDM wiring.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to work in Mastercam and Solidworks software.
• Able to problem solve with high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player who can also work independently.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to change.
• Must be safety conscious with a strong work ethic.
