Job description

YOU’RE GREAT AT:

• Evaluate and analyze the 401k Plan to ensure it is both market competitive and cost effective. Manage and coordinate the implementation of plan design changes.

• Lead project management for all M&A activity, plan mergers and implementation of competitive harmonized retirement benefits. This includes working with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

• Champion and execute effective communication strategies for employees and manage on-going and special communication to employees.  This includes coordinating retirement and benefits messages with the larger Total Rewards communications.

• Implement new product and service offerings from Recordkeeper to enhance employees’ access to information about the Plan.

• Responsible for managing vendor relationships including negotiations with recordkeeper and third-party advisors and Investment consultants to provide quality service and comply with contract terms and conditions.
• Project manage any RFP process and make recommendations if changes to relationships are required.

• Stay informed of current retirement benefits programs, market trends, regulatory, legislative, tax, and social changes.
• Assess impact to the Company’s programs and design, recommended approach or changes in a manner that allows for decision making by the Retirement Committee.

• Partner with ERISA counsel and vendors to ensure compliance for all retirement plans including new or existing DOL and IRS regulations that involve compliance or administration.,.

• Manage the Retirement Plan Committee calendar and quarterly review process including the development of meeting materials and actively participate in quarterly reviews of the Plan with the Committee.

• Partner with HR Shared Services and Payroll to ensure the accurate funding of payroll withholdings, company contributions and loan repayments to plan and reconciliations of all contributions. Ensure any deficiencies identified and corrected in a timely manner.

• Partner with the HR Shared Services team develop training materials, FAQ’s and other resources to ensure processes are documented, appropriately administered and that the highest standards of service and compliance are regularly met.

• Manage internal controls and the internal and external audit process and all filings, (5500 and others). Oversees non-discrimination and other testing and correction of failures.

Serve as an internal consultant and expert on benefit practices and processes.


WHAT IT TAKES: 

• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment requiring agility to meet changes in business demands.

• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer experience and team collaboration with the ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to present recommendations to upper management and the Retirement Plan Committee

• Strong analytical skills and understanding of retirement and benefit concepts and problem-solving skills, to assess, identify problems and develop corrective procedure.

• Proven project management skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, "hands-on" environment.

• Advanced Excel skills required and SAP/SuccessFactors knowledge.

• 6-8 years’ directly related work experience with a strong background in design, development, administration, governance, and delivery of benefit programs for large companies including management of mid to large sized 401k plans. 

• Bachelor's degree or beyond from an accredited college or university in human resources, finance, tax, or accounting

• CEBS/GBA/SPHR/GPHR certification preferred.

• Experience working in a highly matrixed environment managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines, ability to prioritize conflicting demands.

• Experience in working in an environment with HR Shared Services and partnering with various stakeholders.

• Experience developing benefits communications for changes or enhances to plans or processes.

• Experience merging & managing complex and defined contribution (DC) plans for acquired companies is required.
