Job Description

Under the authority of the shredder foreman, the holder, using a wheeled crane, carries out the various loads of material as well as any other material handling, requiring the use of his machine. He carries out the various weighing of material that enters or leaves the yard.

 

• Receive the metal and place it in the appropriate place;
• Unload trucks and check equipment quality
• Bring carcasses and other ferrous materials to the shredder loading area;
• Transport containers of non-ferrous material;
• Load ferrous products for customers
• Perform hardware identification tests using appropriate products or magnets
• Evaluate cuts of what is not saleable
• Take physical inventory of inventory according to schedule
• Record material weights on arrival and departure from the site on their report;
• Grease, if necessary, the various parts of your machine requiring lubrication;

Qualifications

Ability to drive and operate a heavy vehicle;

• Have their construction machinery skills card
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Minimum 1 year in a similar job
• Bilingual (asset)
