Role Summary:
Our Ottawa Branch is currently recruiting a Fire Service Supervisor to oversee the branch operations, drive process improvements and deliver superior customer service.
Job Description
- Oversee and provide leadership, mentorship, supervision and training to technicians, as well as service and support staff.
- Perform site visits to assist and support Technicians.
- Review reports to ensure accuracy.
- Implement MFA (Market Feedback Analysis) processes, meet with customers to mitigate and resolve concerns and increase customer satisfaction.
- Ensure Technicians are scheduled effectively and working efficiently to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Foster TEAM working relationships.
- Provide leadership and support in maintaining EH&S policies, documentation, along with conducting audits and training.
- Perform inspections of company vehicles and inventory levels.
- Assist in managing Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports, including but not limited to Job Status and approving & reconciling of purchase orders for third party suppliers
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the Fire industry
- Previous supervisor/leadership experience will be an asset
- CFAA Certification preferred
- Working knowledge of codes applicable to the provincial standard including Fire codes, electrical codes, building codes, and applicable CAN/ULC and NFPA standards desired
- Post-Secondary diploma or degree in building systems, electronic technology, or equivalent knowledge/ work experience an asset
- Proficient computer skills (Office 365, Cloud, & other web-based app usage basics)
- Basic understanding of WIP reporting and Project financials
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
