Job description
Green Calgary is seeking a community leader with a passion for sustainability and a wide variety of professional skills to join our Board as Treasurer.
The board provides leadership to Green Calgary in the areas of organizational direction, policy, strategic planning and fiduciary accountability. We aim to attract skilled and committed individuals to help Green Calgary fulfill its strategic objectives.
The Treasurer is responsible for presenting and explaining the financial results and forecasts of the organization to the Board, ensuring organization has sufficient cash reserves, provides input on strategic direction, policy updates and various other duties.
Note that the organization has a bookkeeper who is responsible for the day to day accounting and preparation of financial statements.
Our Board members commit to two year terms, with a maximum of eight years. Approximate time commitment each month is about five hours (including.meetings).
