Job Profile

There is an opening for GIS Technician within the Technology Services Division, Corporate Services Department. Reporting to the Manager of Business Systems GIS Development Services, this position will be responsible for:

What you will be doing

Education

Undergraduate degree in Geography, Geomatics, Planning, Computer Science or other related field.

Certified Planning Technician is considered an asset.

Experience and Knowledge

A minimum of one (1) year work experience and proficient with the following: ESRI Certificates in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online mapping and applications, Database fundamentals for MS Access, SQL, Oracle, AutoCAD Map 3D, Adobe Illustrator/ Photoshop, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project)

Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications Valid G driver's license Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)

Hours of work

The current regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm inclusive (35 hours per week).
