Job description

Job purpose:
Endeavour is hiring an Accounting Administrator with demonstrated organizational skills and a strong interest in technology. Reporting to the Director, Finance and Administration, the Account Administrator’s primary responsibility will include reviewing and assisting the daily, monthly, and year end operations of the Finance and Administrative team.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration, you will support the daily, monthly and year-end operations of the Finance & Administration team
• Processes vendor invoices for payment from purchase orders through to issuance and mailing of cheques while ensuring compliance with Endeavour’s corporate policies
• Ensure all financial transactions have the appropriate authorizations, general ledger account distribution and tax calculations and follow Endeavour’s internal controls
• Ensure invoices are paid on schedule and in accordance with vendor terms and company cheque run policies
• Reconcile vendor statements by analyzing transactions and researching discrepancies and follow up in a timely manner with appropriate parties
• Perform a variety of accounts receivable functions such as bank deposits, generating accounts receivable invoices and posting customer payments
• Process purchasing documents such as Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, ensuring compliance with Endeavour’s corporate policies and procedures
• Provide support to team members as required and assist various departments with financial inquiries
• Assist on projects and assignments and other duties as assigned Qualifications
• 2 -3 years of experience in a professional services firm or a company.
• University degree with a focus in business and accounting.
• Accounting designation or finance designation (achieved or in progress) is an asset.
• Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with employees at all levels.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint). • Strong interest in technology and demonstrated expertise to design and automate processes is an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains an asset.
