We are currently looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

Develop monitor and implement innovative and goaloriented vocational rehabilitation strategies for Plan Members receiving disability benefits.

Assist in the transition process of ill and injured members of the Canadian Armed Forces by facilitating their return to work postrelease.

Collaborate with Plan Members and stakeholders to devise creative returntowork solutions.

Manage budgets effectively.

Communicate effectively with Plan Members the Policy Holder and various medical professionals delivering complex or challenging messages when necessary.

Ensure the availability of the most effective and efficient supports for our Plan Members.

What you will need to succeed:

Related university degree in Health Sciences background with a focus on Psychology Counseling or Nursing.

An accreditation may be advantageous.

Some vocational rehabilitation experience or several years of active rehabilitation experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Comfortable delivering presentations to large groups.

Bilingual (oral and written) in French and English.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience managing budgets in a professional setting.

Valid drivers license and access to a car required for travel to various locations.

Prior military experience is a strong asset.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in handling large and complex case loads.

Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills capable of finding win/win solutions.

Ability to independently make difficult decisions with significant impact on Plan Members and the business and deliver them as required.

Proven problemsolving skills.

Strong capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.

Ability to think creatively to solve rehabilitation challenges.

Interest in assisting individuals in returning to gainful employment.
