THE ROLE The Product Manager, Digital Technologies plays a pivotal role in guiding the continued success of Flexpipe by developing digital tools that support the product through design, manufacturing, installation, and operation. They are responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap of Flexpipe’s digital technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute on that vision. Additionally, they work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, analyze data, and iterate on the product to drive continuous improvement
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for existing and new products including segment selection, penetration plans, technical product positioning, sales tools, and sales training
- Business case development for new products including capex requirements and cost/margin analysis
- Champion global roll-out for new products
- Liaison with sales, engineering, manufacturing, R&D, and leadership to develop and maintain overall product strategy for new and existing products
- Analyze product and service competitiveness and competitor financial performance
- Collect Voice of Client: collect and analyze customer input and feedback for new and existing products and services
- Engage lead customers for new products to ensure rapid market acceptance
- Engage industry through participation in industry presentations/papers as well as tradeshows
- Frame potential new markets as required.
- Provide/coordinate product training and support to the sales team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering), or Business (preferably with a focus on Marketing)
- Able to travel (15%) as per the job requirements across North America
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Ability to multitask and prioritize issues effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Candidates with a financial/ technical background with product management experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical understanding including research, forecasting, data mining, and reporting
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to learn about the product and understand the value proposition.
