Through several corporate and asset acquisitions the Company has grown into a significant upstream and midstream producer with assets concentrated in the Canadian Foothills, producing conventional natural gas, NGLs, condensate and sulphur.
Management is excited about Pieridae’s opportunities and prospects within our existing asset base in the Canadian Foothills; during the past year Pieridae has strategically refocused on sustaining and growing its upstream exploration and production (“E&P”) and midstream business. Our objective is to continue Pieridae’s pivot toward growing a sustainable and profitable conventional Foothills oil and natural gas business while continuing to explore opportunities to diversify market access for the products we produce.
Position Summary:
The role of the Asset Integrity Manager is to provide Integrity support to Pieridae Assets. The primary focus is on integrity management programs, inspection programs, materials and coatings selection, and corrosion control.
The successful candidate will:
· Work closely with site operations, maintenance, and technical personnel, as well as Calgary support groups, regulatory contacts, and service companies.
· Accountable to ensure that Regulatory processes, policies, and procedures are enforced regarding integrity and inspections.
· Support the Asset to achieve or exceed business targets.
· Collaborate with all disciplines/functions to deliver effective, efficient, and safe operations of the Asset.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan/direct/budget (within approved constraints) pressure equipment and pipeline integrity inspection, mitigation, and monitoring programs for the Pieridae assets.
· Fulfill regulatory requirements (i.e. communication, documentation) re: in-service equipment inspections and repairs.
· Implement pressure equipment integrity management systems and processes. Includes annual integrity plans, the preparation of critical equipment Integrity Reference Plans (IRP's), inspection data analysis and improvement recommendations.
· Troubleshoot failures & provide recommendations based on materials failure analysis and causal analysis.
· Provide Inspection knowledge and support for pressure equipment maintenance quality assurance activities.
· Provide Technical support to site operating, maintenance, and engineering personnel re: pressure equipment and integrity maintenance requirements.
· Review and approve integrity/inspection projects for the annual budget process.
· Support the Quality Control Program at the site for the execution of alterations & repairs.
· Participate as an active member of the Pieridae Asset Integrity community.
· Inspection support for the planning and executing inspection scope for maintenance turnarounds.
· Owner of Pieridae’s Pipeline & Pressure Equipment IMP manuals. Maintain & keep up to date.
· Understand and apply Provincial Regulatory requirements for Pressure equipment and pipeline systems (i.e., AER, BCER & ABSA) and identify gaps and develop plans to close the gaps.
· Perform internal audits of Pieridae’s Pressure Equipment & Pipeline IMP programs.
· Review HSE Integrity events on a weekly basis for regulatory reporting requirements.
· Perform Asset Integrity responsibilities for regulatory requirements with regards to Pressure Equipment and Pipeline systems.
· Manager of the Plant & Field Inspectors at each of the Pieridae assets.
· Work with NDE vendors and ensure procedures and skill sets are in compliance.
· Perform the Chief Inspector role and responsibilities for the ABSA jurisdiction.
· Ensure Asset Integrity Information is available and maintained at each of the assets.
· Ensure regulatory compliance for the Pressure Equipment & Pipeline IMP programs.
· Provide inspection support to each of the Pieridae assets as required.
Education & Work Experience:
· Minimum 5 to 10 years Technical / Inspection experience.
· Diploma in Materials, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Welding Engineering Technology from a recognized Institute.
· API 510, 570, & ABSA PESL Certification.
· Knowledge of corrosion inspection (e.g. NDE), mitigation techniques, deterioration mechanisms, materials & coatings selection, failure analysis.
· Knowledge of sour gas Field Facilities and Gas Plants and the associated processes.
· Skill in Inspection systems: Visions, pipeline inline inspections.
· Knowledge of risk / criticality-based inspection principles
· Skill in preparing Integrity Reference Plans.
· Skill in using surveillance tools (e.g. PI, Visions)
· Knowledge of ASME pressure piping & equipment codes and CSA industry standards
· Knowledge of Personal and Process Safety requirements.
· Skill in communication, negotiation, and time management.
· Skill in coaching, leading by example, facilitation, problem solving, and decision making.
· Knowledge of the site budget and the asset accountability processes, including ability to create interventions as required.
· Awareness of HSE assurance, leadership, and adherence to requirements of lifesaving rules.
· Skill in applying knowledge of appropriate regulations and operating approval requirements within License to Operate.
· Awareness of the asset Community commitments and the requirements to ensure compliance.
· Knowledge of joint venture processes and agreements.
· Knowledge of key work processes such as Operations Integrity, Permit to Work, Management of Change, and the Management of Threats & Opportunities.
· HS2 Alive training, confined space training, and WHMIS.
