JOB TITLE: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

TYPICAL DUTIES OF A FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER AT SONOVISION:
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a high paced environment, managing several distinct scopes with the right checks in place. They will be able to reconcile finance reporting enabling an accurate view of the performance of the different sites and different projects, but also the technical accounting aspects. A fluid communication locally with the operations managers and the support teams (internal or external) but also with the Group cross-functional teams will be essential.
Operating in both Canada and US, the successful candidate will work with the different rules while being supported by an outside firm for counsel.
FINANCE
Work with financial team to prepare the monthly financial reporting and statements for the Executive Management team. You and your team will also prepare projects financial control reporting to analyze projects performance.
Prepare and update yearly budgets and forecasts as required.
ACCOUNTING
Lead and perform accounting production, including payroll.
Maintain and update an efficient internal control process.
Establish quarterly financial statements for the Group accounting consolidation and produce all the necessary accounting explanations.
Manage company audits (external and internal).
TAX & LEGAL
Tax - Comply with the current country tax rules by working with local tax consulting firm and ensuring the options executed are made in accordance with the Group rules.
Ensure that all taxes payments are made on time.
Maintain and update the corporate legal documents in conjunction with legal department group and the lawyers.
OTHER
Actively participate in any future acquisitions in North America.
Manage the relationships with respect to Tax administration, external auditor, Canadian and US lawyers, insurances and facilities.
Any ad-hoc duties as requested from President / Head Office.
MANAGEMENT
Manages the finance and admin team. Ensure the right organization is in place and monitor performance against tracked metrics and results.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
· Chartered Professional Accountant.
· University Degree in Business/Accounting.
· Able to work in person at our Ottawa location.
· Language: English (Bilingual an asset).
· Experience leading a team.
· Experience with QuickBooks.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
· Adaptability and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in documentation.
· Ability to work under pressure with professionalism and accuracy.
· Ability to Manage a team successfully.
· Experience working with ADP and ABAK
