Position Overview:
As a Manager, Compensation, you will be the key analytical role in designing, implementing, and managing our compensation strategies to align with the company's goals and industry best practices. Your analysis and modeling will be pivotal in all aspects of compensation decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Total Rewards to provide analytical support and compensation expertise to all aspects of compensation at a leading Wealth Advisory firm.
- Perform all analytics and modeling related to design and harmonization of compensation programs for producer and corporate roles; for development of baselines and bonus pools, and an array of other key analytics as required by the organization.
- Conduct regular market research and analysis to benchmark compensation against industry standards, ensuring our compensation packages remain competitive and attract top talent. Lead the participation in compensation surveys, potentially mentoring a more junior analyst in survey participation.
- Participate in the design and administration of annual salary review processes, incentive programs, and bonus structures; lead the development, review, and maintenance of salary structures.
- Analyze compensation data and trends to identify insights and opportunities for improvement, and present findings to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner.
- Provide expertise and guidance on job evaluations, leveling, and classification to ensure internal equity and consistency in job roles and titles.
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of compensation-related expenses.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in compensation to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 – 7 years of hands-on analytical and compensation experience
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and model complex data from disparate sources and draw actionable conclusions. Operates at the highest level of accuracy and reliability. Understands the development of repeatable models laid out in an organized fashion with built-in data checks and other accuracy controls.
- Demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from data and explain them in a direct, coherent, and easy-to-understand manner.
- Ability to pivot and shift to address multiple competing requests in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, practices, regulations, and market trends.
