FLINT is actively recruiting Machinists for our Fort McMurray Machine Shop, where your skills will shine in diverse projects with the guidance of our Machine Shop Superintendent. Join our team and elevate your career with FLINT's cutting-edge innovations!

What would you be doing?

• Interpret blueprints and craft precision parts to exact specifications.
• Commanding cutting-edge equipment, including conventional lathes and mills, grinders, and portable machining tools.
• Taking on challenging tasks like line boring, flange facing, and cold cutting.
• Exercising your creative skills to layout, measure, and mark materials for precision cutting.
• Tackling a diverse range of field machining assignments as they arise.
• Opportunity for field work.

Does this sound like you?

• The grit to thrive in dynamic field conditions.
• Experience in line boring.
• A knack for sizing up and measuring with pinpoint accuracy.
• Proficient in both conventional lathe and mill operations.
• A CSO certification or a desire to obtain one.
• A Machinist Journeyperson/Apprentice certificate.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.

• Wage up to $60/hour based on experience, $65/hour for fieldwork.

Other important details

This position comes with a commitment to safety and will require drug and alcohol testing.
