Mission
Logistics Customer Service Agent is responsible for helping to maintain the day-to-day operation and administrative duties associated with Dispatch Center. This position you will interact directly with our customers both internal and external, recording and screening of all incoming orders, use dispatch computer and software programs, data entry, and record keeping.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain updated knowledge of all company products and services in order to provide adequate education to customers
- Field incoming phone calls, emails and respond to customers, records orders and provides routine information;
- Provides routine information and generate interest in new products and connect customers with Regional Sales Representatives when required;
- Performs operating sequences to enter all incoming orders in to dispatch software;
- Assists dispatch in checking all products are available at the time of order by verification with load source;
- Verification of contract pricing across multiple platforms;
- Finalizing of completed orders to begin billing process;
- Collect and record customer feedback and information, and share with appropriate departments;
- Uses computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments;
Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience in Transportation, Logistics
- 1+ years’ of experience in a customer service-related role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, service-oriented attitude
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
- Good computer skills using various software platforms and excellent phone disposition
- Willingness to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to foster and maintain relationships especially with truck drivers and staff;
- Bulk liquid knowledge or experience would be an asset.
