Company Description

Our client, a manufacturer and distributor of consumer products is currently searching for a Senior Materials Manager to report directly to the Director of Operations.

Role Description

Supervising 3 supervisors and a support staff of 30

This is a full-time on-site role for a Materials Manager located in Abbotsford, BC. The Materials Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of all materials required by the company. The Materials Manager will also work closely with other departments to ensure that all materials are acquired and delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field
• 5+ years of experience in materials management or a related field working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills to manage the flow of materials between departments
• Experience in inventory management and control
• Knowledge of applicable laws, standards, and regulations for the materials industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related inventory management software programs
• Demonstrated experience in cost savings and streamlining procurement processes
• Ability to lead and manage a team of employees to achieve goals and objectives
• Strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement in materials management processes
