Job Description
HARGUR CONSTRUCTION LTD. based at 14430 85A AVENUE SURREY, British Columbia V3S 5T6 is an general contracting company in business since 2021. Company has been providing our customers throughout lower mainland with reliable, fast and quality service for all their siding installation needs. We have two openings for two siding installers to offer a permanent, full-time career.
Job Duties
- Complete the exterior assembly of residential buildings
- Install building envelope materials (physical separator between the inside and outside of buildings), outside cladding materials (such as flashings for waterproofing), and trims
- Install, repair and service exterior prefabricated products such as siding, shutters, awnings, fencing, decks, and other exterior structures using hand and power tools
- Attach tar paper, building paper, and other material to the building surface
- Waterproofs surface by filling joints or cracks with caulking compound, using putty knife, trowel, or caulking gun
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
- Take measurements
- Cuts and trims material to shape when fitting siding around windows or corners, using knife, shears, or portable power saw
- Cut, shape and smooth material according to measurements
- Locating and marking studs and joists in walls to ensure the siding is installed correctly
- Follow instruction from trade man or supervisor
- Clean up the job site during and after the completion of the job
- Load and unload ladders, walk boards, and other tools/equipment
Job Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required
- No experience necessary. We provide On the Job Training to the hired candidate. One year of experience is desirable
- Basic communication skills in English are required.
- Ability to lift & hold up to 50lbs, reach, stand or kneel, or climb and carry a ladder throughout the course of the day
- Class 5 drivers license is a real asset to have, but not mandatory
