Performance Measurement :
Delivery of the Maintenance Daily Plan
Responsible for timely response and rectification of corrective work orders
Adequate resource planning
Technical responsibility for your assigned technical discipline e.g. Track/OCS/Power/Telecommunication
Successfully implement snow removal plans and procedures
Responsibilities :
Product and work safety assurance
Act as the point of contact for all Infrastructure Preventive and Corrective maintenance that goes on during maintenance hours
Work with Infrastructure Supervisor to update master maintenance schedule
Ensure all technician teams are dispatched correctly; follow up to ensure all Environment Health and safety parameters are being met
Ensure technician teams have all permits, access documentation, tools and equipment prior to leaving Maintenance Service Facility (MSF)
Monitors, verifies attendance, absenteeism, punctuality, approves and submits weekly hours to the payroll department using ALISTA electronic time keeping system
Carry out Technical, Quality, Safety and General briefings as necessary
Random spot inspections to verify that technicians are following all work method statements and safety procedures
Conduct quality checks on the standard of works performed by the technicians.
If there are any last minute changes to site access, immediately modify the master schedule to allocate resources to complete other preventive tasks
Continuously monitor Alstom and OC Transpo’s Maintenance Management tools (GSI & IMIRS) to ensure timely response and rectification of corrective work orders
Monitor all work orders and schedule all corrective works as required.
Consolidate all activities and generate daily maintenance reports for the shift
If any preventive works requires corrective action, ensure techs generate the appropriate work orders
Update daily snow operations plan for upcoming 24hours during winters
Work with the Infrastructure Supervisor to ensure all training, vacation and competencies are being updated and that the schedule meets the overall requirements
Inspect technician vehicles and tools to ensure no non calibrated tool or power tool is being used
Ensure any sub-contractor/temp workers conducting any works are in conjunction with ALSTOM best practices and in compliance with all known Sub contractor standards
Based on return of experience update the engineering teams plan which provides a detailed time plan for snow removal from all the main line and the MSF yard factoring in manpower and machinery
Follow the Alstom Snow removal procedures, liaise with sub-contractors, and OC Transpo as required
Generate all snow removal operations reports as well as daily track status updates
Oversee all snow removal machinery, daily and periodic maintenance is carried out for 100% availability
Development of processes, components and methods used by Alstom
Production of the necessary Safety and Reliability and maintenance documentation update as needed, including documentation supplied by suppliers, integrated or not as appropriate.
Report any material shortages or requirements to Infrastructure Supervisor
Maintaining revenue service and head way timing are critical and all effort and planning is to be made to ensure these objective are met
Reliability growth monitoring through failure data analysis
Proactive in identifying areas for improvement by personal check, analysis of incident reports and complaints, initiating action to ensure improvements
Risk Assessments
Encourage continual professional development for staff within your areas of responsibility
Work Various shifts as dictated from upper management
Requirements :
Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
+10 years of experience within similar industry
+5 years of experience within railway industry
Strong leadership and communication skills
Familiar with EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets
Knowledge of union environment in Canada
Sense of urgency and able to meet daily deadlines
IT literate (SAP, time recording tools, etc.)
Ability to work nights and weekends
Fluent in English
