Job Skills / Requirements

We are currently accepting applications for part-time and casual/on-call Experienced EVENT Security Officers to join our growing event team in Victoria. 

Shifts are typically in the evenings and on weekends, and would pair well with a full time job to offer some supplemental income. 

$23/hour and up

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Our Event Team at event based facilities conduct regular patrols, provide impeccable customer service, and respond to incidents and emergencies as required. Events are a dynamic and fast paced work environment where things are constantly changing, and there are always interesting challenges to solve.

Security Patrol:  Conduct thorough security patrols of designated areas to identify and mitigate potential risks;  Monitor for unauthorized access and respond to security incidents promptly

Crowd Management:  Implement effective crowd control strategies, Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary

Access Control:  Verify credentials and tickets to ensure only authorized individuals gain access to restricted areas;  Enforce access policies and respond to any breaches accordingly

Emergency Response:  Execute emergency response procedures, including evacuations and first aid, as required.  Collaborate with emergency services and coordinate efforts during critical situations

Conflict Resolution:  Utilize excellent communication and de-escalation skills to handle conflicts and diffuse tense situations;  Act decisively to prevent and manage disruptive behavior

Surveillance: Report any suspicious activities and conduct thorough investigations when necessary

Collaboration with Event Organizers:  Work closely with event organizers, venue management, and other security personnel to ensure a cohesive security plan;  Provide input on security strategies based on experience and industry best practices

YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

• Provide exceptional customer service, with an exceptional smile. 
• Have strong communication skills.
• Valid Security Licence
• Management of Aggressive Behavior or AST is an asset
• Are eligible to work in Canada.
• Are in need of supplemental income.

• Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
