The Payroll Coordinator will play a crucial role in accurately processing payroll for our employees while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Pay Rate: $24/hour
Location: REMOTE (anywhere in Canada)
Shifts : Monday to Friday | 40 hours/week
Job type: Full-time | 4-week contract

Duties and Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies
Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings
Prepare and distribute payroll reports
Process new hires, terminations, and other payroll-related changes
Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity
Stay up-to-date with payroll regulations and compliance requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification (asset)
Zendesk knowledge (asset)
Previous payroll administration experience required
Strong understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada
