Job description
Our client is seeking a highly trained and experienced professional to join their team as a Site Foreman for their windows and doors installation projects. This role is ideal for a dynamic and dedicated individual with experience, with or without a glazing ticket, who has a track record of leading teams to success in the construction industry and is willing to travel. Our client has been in the industry for over 30 years and has a very established reputation for providing quality and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the installation of windows and doors on residential and commercial properties. Mostly high-end residential projects.
- Coordinate and direct the activities of a team of installers to ensure efficiency and adherence to all safety standards.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones; monitor and report on project progress.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that all work meets the high standards our customers expect and comply with all regulations.
- Provide training and support to team members, ensuring that all crew members have the necessary skills and certifications.
- Manage resources, including tools, materials, and equipment, to ensure availability and operational readiness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact on the job site for clients, suppliers, and upper management.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and ensure that all team members are compliant with safety regulations.
- Handle onsite conflicts or issues effectively, maintaining a professional and positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a construction foreman or similar supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of windows and doors installation processes and industry standards, involving high end material.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with construction management software is an advantage.
- A valid glazing ticket is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in construction management or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to travel to sites within Gulf Islands, Vancouver, Island, Whistler
