Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Policy, the Senior Business Advisor supports the planning, organization and coordination in the development and delivery of project deliverables for the Division from the initiation phase through to implementation. These activities typically encompass a thorough review and re-engineering of policies, business rules, information requirements and supporting business processes, ensuring the objectives and schedules align with division goals and objectives and with the corporate business plan.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with assigned Branch and section teams to identify core issues or requirements
• Prepare budgets, advise on projects and marketing, and perform risk analysis
• Provide input on project schedules, process mapping, strategies and resource requirements
• Identify markets for future product development and methods to improve existing products by analyzing technology trends
• Work with stakeholders, including various provincial/national organizations and vendors
• Support operational activities and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Department/Divisions/Branch core business goals and objectives
• Design and facilitate change management activities to ready users for new business processes and tools associated with business application enhancements.

Qualifications

Required:

• University graduation in Business or a related field PLUS 4 years progressively responsible experience.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered based on:

• 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
• 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Assets:

• Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma is a strong asset
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience supporting program teams and leading projects with positive results
• Experience with complex user acceptance testing
