Intermediate Accountant - Full Cycle Accounting

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our dynamic finance team covering the North America financial function. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in full cycle accounting, demonstrating expertise in various financial processes, from journal entries and reconciliations to financial reporting. The successful candidate will contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Full Cycle Accounting:
- Perform end-to-end accounting processes, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Generate management reports, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
- Reconciliation:
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve any variances.
- Reconcile the corporate finance report.
- Journal Entries:
- Prepare and post journal entries to accurately reflect business transactions.
- Analyze and adjust entries as necessary to maintain accurate financial records.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze budget variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors during financial audits.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function.
- Implement best practices to streamline workflows and enhance overall financial operations.
- US payroll
- Get trained and manage end-to-end processing of bi-weekly payroll for US employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all payroll-related taxes and filings.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a full cycle accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
- Bilingual preferred (Mandarin and English)
