Description:

The Experimental Subatomic Physics research group at the University of Manitoba invites applications for MSc and PhD student positions in Experimental Particle Physics.

Successful applicants will:

• Conduct cutting-edge research with the Belle II particle physics experiment, which is operating at the SuperKEKB e+e- collider at Japan's KEK Laboratory.
• Join an internationally collaborative research team and search for dark matter with high-energy collisions of matter and anti-matter.
• Have the opportunity to visit the KEK Laboratory to contribute to Belle II detector operations and explore new algorithms for high energy photon detection.

The Belle II Collaboration comprises over 110 institutes from across the globe and offers an internationally diverse and highly collaborative research environment.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Physics or BEng in a related field completed by the start date.
• Proficiency in English (written and oral).
