We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting clerk to join a team in the IT industry located in Etobicoke ON.

Position: Accounting Clerk
Location: Etobicoke
Industry: IT
Type: 6-12 month contract, potential to convert to permanent after performance review.
Remote: Work from home up to 4 days per week!

Do you have experience with full-cycle AP and AR?
Are you proficient with MS Dynamics ERP? (Great Plains, 365, Business Central, etc).
Are you proficient with MS Excel? (Pivot tables, lookups, formulas, sum/if, etc).

Responsibilities
In this Accounting Clerk role in Etobicoke, you will have the following benefits:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Verify vendor invoices, reconcile purchase orders, and ensure timely payments.
- Coordinate with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Prepare and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or outstanding balances.
- Generate and distribute accounts payable reports as required by management.
- Assist in accounts receivable functions, including posting customer payments, issuing invoices, and following up on outstanding receivables.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and facilitate timely collections.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable transactions in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this Accounting Clerk role located in Etobicoke:
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience is required.
- Ability to work full-time during business hours (M-F 9-5).
- A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
- Experience working with MS Dynamics software is required.
- Strong communication is required for this role.
- Excellent attention to detail.
