Job Description: Reporting to the Manager - Pharmacy Practice Support, the position is committed to the integration of knowledge, skills, and process to assist in coordinating the orientation of new staff, delivery of pharmacy student programs and to ensure development and upkeep of tools and information for healthcare providers and/or patients re: medication-related issues. The incumbent is also responsible for representing the Department on designated committees and coordinating pharmacy initiatives as it relates to the designated projects. The incumbent will be required to work in a Pharmacist role when required.
Required Qualifications
Accredited Hospital Residency Program is an asset
Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy
Membership in a national professional association (e.g. CSHP, CCCP), is an asset
Registered or eligible for registration and licensed with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP)
Experience
2 years previous experience in a relevant practice area in a hospital pharmacy setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to accept and implement change
Ability to assist other pharmacists to develop the skills to complete projects in an efficient and effective manner.
Ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into activities to enhance client care as it relates to drug therapy
Able to work in a team setting in a positive manner.
Articulate theory and knowledge related to pharmaceutical care.
Commitment to continuing professional development
Demonstrate ability to identify, prevent and solve drug-therapy problems.
Demonstrate ability to train pharmacy residents and students in a positive manner.
