Job description

We are looking for exceptional talent to join our client's Field Property team as a Field Claims Advisor overseeing the London, ON territory. Joining them will provide you with a unique opportunity where you will be part of an impactful team, contributing to an evolving industry, and a company that is going through an exciting transformation.

While this position is remote, the successful candidate will be required to travel within the assigned territory in order to assess property claims in person.

Responsibilities
In the Field Claim Advisor role you will be responsible for:
- Attending claims assigned within a designated territory (London and surrounding area)
- Investigating, negotiating, and settling losses within set guidelines
- Complete detailed building damage scopes and appraises contents and building damage following all appropriate guidelines
- Identify SIU triggers and take necessary action
- Identify and pursue Subrogation opportunities and refer to appropriate teams
- Form part of the Catastrophe team and attend weather events as needed
- Act as a service ambassador promoting company image to our policyholders and brokers
- Provide support to desk adjusting team as required
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ Property Field Adjusting experience.
- In depth understanding of building damage scoping practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to keep excellent documentation
- Detailed knowledge of 1st Party Property Coverages
- Strong communication skills and de-escalation methodologies
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
- Ability to successfully complete an extensive background check including drivers abstract
- Will be required to periodically attend meetings at the Cambridge head office
