The Opportunity:
WSP is currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our wide range of civil engineering projects in the mining, industrial, and public sectors.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of technical expertise and a proven track record of successful project delivery. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of various civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

This role is a hybrid position based in either our Thunder Bay, Saskatoon or Thornhill office.

A day in the life:

• Develop, verify, and finalize technical deliverables such as drawings, specifications, reports, and engineering calculations.
• Design Site Plans that encompass site services, grading, drainage, and stormwater management strategies.
• Provide preliminary and detailed designs for linear infrastructure and roads to support industrial projects.
• Engage in stormwater management, hydrology, wastewater systems, water distribution, earthworks, transportation, cost estimation, and other related tasks.
• Prepare proposals and supporting documents for permitting.
• Provide construction support and conduct site reviews during construction.
• Support project management, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of project deliverables, conducting thorough reviews and assessments to meet or exceed industry standards.
• Communicate with clients, establish and maintain client relationships, and contribute to business growth strategies.

What you'll bring to WSP:

• B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of Civil Engineering experience within an engineering consulting industry.
• In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards.
• Professional Engineering Licence in Ontario or one of the provinces.
• Eligible for federal security clearance.
• Interested in the design and project management of mining and industrial projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, Knowledge in Pix4D and Revit would be an asset.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a valid G driver's license.
