This position is part of Aecon’s General Partnership with Six Nations within the Ohsweken Community.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Operations Manager and department. Key attributes include exercising good judgment, initiative, and the ability to multi-task. Duties include general clerical and project-based work.
What You Will Do Here:
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying,daily documentation, filing, mailing, and typing.
- Prepare, organize and store information in paper and digital form.
- Formulate MS PowerPoint presentations, packages, binding, and handout packages.
- Suggest and implement improved work methods and systems relating to administrative tasks.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to office staff with speed and accuracy.
- Performs administrative duties for the construction team ensuring all documentation is accurate & reported daily or weekly as required.
- Organize team meetings, lunches, and incentive programs as required
- Assist with client meetings and briefing documents.
- Administers office safety supplies, and stationary.
- Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as project administrator within the construction industry.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills (preparation and proofreading of documents).
- Must be able to show discretion with confidential and/or personal material.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with poise and confidence.
- Capability to multitask and prioritize workload, handling various job responsibilities at once (arranging meetings, phone messages, email correspondence, etc.).
- Skillfulness to work independently as well as a member of a team.
- Professional interaction with all levels of staff within the organization from front line to senior executive.
- Always exhibit a polite and professional manner.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.).
