Unit Summary The Digital Health Innovation team's aim is to use machine learning, artificial intelligence and novel digital health applications to improve patient care and enhance medical research. Our team has two major areas of strength: Data Science (applied machine learning/artificial intelligence) and Application Development (the creation of new digital health products in partnership with clinicians and researchers).

The Data Scientist role leads the Digital Health Innovation team's efforts in predictive modeling using machine learning to support clinical care and research, including Omics, patient oriented research, clinical trials and epidemiology studies. Key responsibilities include analysis planning, feature engineering, model building, statistical interpretation, project management and resource management.

Schedule Work Hours Normal working hours

• Mastery of Python, R, and/or any other data science programming languages of choice.
• Demonstrated mastery of one realm of data science, such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, or classification/regression using massive parallel processing.
• Experience using a large range of data science methods preferred, such as
multivariable regression modeling (including linear, logistic, 2-stage , and multilevel regression), survival analysis, generalized equation estimation models including hierarchical modeling and repeated measures, cluster analysis, principal component analysis, path analysis, risk prediction modeling, econometric analysis including time series analysis, two-stage modeling, text analytics, natural language processing, classification and regression trees, recursive partitioning, simulation modeling, optimization, deep learning, etc. There will be a particular focus on analysis of large datasets with respect to identifying patterns, clusters, trajectories, and prediction models for this position.
• Experience with multiple study design formats preferred, such as cross-sectional studies, cohort studies, case-control studies and time series designs
• Experience visualizing data for a broad range of audiences an asset
• Data management and/or monitoring experience an asset
